06/01/14 - Congratultions to Dr. John Carr and Dr. Rakesh Mahadevapuram for finishing their PhDs this semester, and starting their post-phd careers at NASA and Nanometrics, respectively.

09.01.13 - John's review paper defects in organic photovoltaics is accepted in Energy & Environmental Science. Congratulations!

08.26.13 - Tanvir Muntasir joins the group as PhD student. Welcome Tanvir!

Welcome to the homepage of Prof. Sumit Chaudhary's research group. Prof. Chaudhary is Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with courtesy appointment in Materials Science and Engineering, and an associate of US Department of Energy Ames Laboratory.

Our research interests span organic electronic materials and devices (currently, mainly organic solar cells), hybrid organic/inorganic electronic device concepts, photonic structures, new device fabrication techniques, understanding of basic device physics, and device components such as novel electrodes.

Our group is literally multidisciplinary with student researchers from Electrical Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering, working together. We also heavily collaborate with other researchers in other departments such as Physics, Chemistry, and Ames Laboratory.
